伊豆のお針子無生庵の社会貢献活動といえばおこがましいのですが、ショップオーナーの社会起業家としての仕事として、一部に知的障碍者とのコラボ作品があります。このブックカバーは綿の太めの糸を手織り機を使って、障害を持たれた方が一生懸命一枚の布に仕上げた、大変感性豊かな素材を手縫いで伊豆のお針子無生庵がブックカバーに仕立てた一点ものです。障害のあるかたがたは、無心で型にはまらず糸の構成もその時の一瞬の勝負の織り方で、出来上がりはご覧の通り。素晴らしい配色と温かい仕上がりで、とても感動ものです。実におこがましく仕立てさせていただきましたがこの温かさは他にない逸品です。お勧めしたいカバーです。
